Camp Ten Oaks – Make the Yuletide Gay

The Ten Oaks Project is a charitable, volunteer-driven organization that engages and connects children and youth from LGBTQ (lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans, two-spirit, queer) communities.

Based in Ottawa, the Ten Oaks Project has been meeting the needs of children from LGBTQ families, LGBTQ youth and their allies since 2004.

For twelve days in December join the Ten Oaks Project as they Make the Yuletide Gay in celebration of their programs for children and youth from LGBTQ communities! Find out how on their website!

Here are more ways you can get involved.

It’s always a delight to see people loving their work and making cute videos in support of these kind of initiatives:

Mackenzie Rhythm Section – The 12 Sexy Days of Christmas

Ottawa, Canada’s Funk, Soul and Rock n’ Roll group The Mackenzie Rhythm Section is full of Christmas spirit this year as they wrap up their first Christmas D.I.Y. single and video for ‘The 12 Sexy Days of Christmas’. Deck the halls with balls of sexy as they bring you a mix that is all their own. Sexy Christmas made easy courtesy of the Mackenzie Rhythm Section.

Notable highlights: That damn fine drummer they’ve got (shout out!) + 3:19: “now what Christmas would be complete without a breakdown…”

Check them out live on Jan.15th @ The Grad Club in Kingston, CA and stay tuned for the release of their debut album in the fall of 2012! In the meantime, be sure to check out ‘Acabo’, ‘Century 21’ and other solid tracks from yours truly.

Mélissa Laveaux featured on After Ellen!

Mélissa Laveaux – yes the artist that use to bless us with her voice at venues like the Rainbow in hottawa – is featured as part of the ‘Weekly Women to Listen To’ by After Ellen!  Mabrook! C’est bien mérité!

‘Ulysses’ will always be one of my favourite songs. Somehow, this is the first time I see the music video!
